Taylor Swift, President of the Beyhive? The “Style” singer, 25, may have millions of her own fans, but Swift revealed in a new interview with KissFMUK that she idolizes one of her most famous peers.
“I love Beyonce more than…” Swift began, trailing off as she contemplated her love for Queen Bey. “It’s like, normal for everyone to love Beyonce, but I love her more than that amount, like more than the normal amount.”
Explaining that it’s “arguable” whether her adoration reaches unhealthy levels, Swift added, “I try really hard not to let it get creepy. I just really like, channel it into a joyous admiration and appreciation.”
The pop star spoke to the radio station ahead of this Wednesday’s 2015 Brit Awards, where she is competing against Beyonce for a major honor. Both stars are nominated for International Female Solo Artist, along with Lana Del Rey, Sia, and St. Vincent.
Though they are competitors at the UK’s version of the Grammys, Swift and Beyonce, 33, have become friends in recent months. The “7/11” singer and her husband Jay Z made an appearance at Swift’s star-studded birthday party this past December, posing for photos with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, the Haim sisters, and Karlie Kloss.

Swift went on to speak about the party in a second interview with BBC Radio 1, dishing to host Nick Grimshaw about her favorite party guest, which was, of course, Beyonce.
“She’s awesome,” she said of the chart-topping performer. “Like in a party scenario — the nicest, talking to everybody, dancing sometimes. Oh, god… We all have a phrase now, everybody who was at the party, which is, you know, ‘Dance As If Beyonce Is Watching You.’ She’s there.”
